Such An Impact! Mar 30, 2004
As a college student who still remembers and loves her "Mr. Bach Comes To Call", "Beethoven Lives Upstairs", and "Mozart's Magic Fantasy: A Journey Through 'The Magic Flute'", I would recommend these CDs without a doubt. Over a decade later I still remember these tapes (as they were when I first got them) and still remember classical songs that many of my friends can't even name composers to. A wonderful educational investment for your children!

Probably what got me hooked on classical music this year Jan 07, 2001
By M_Girl When I was three and four, I loved this CD. I listened to it all the time, could remember all the words, and loved the songs. However, it went missing after that and I didn't see it again until I was twelve and a half. After hearing my old favourite again and recognizing little tunes that had had me wondering about the names, I decided to stop listening to popular music because of how much more I enjoyed the classical songs on this CD. Now I still listen to classical music and have a large collection. I got rid of my popular CDs and have not regretted it once. Thanks to this series for renewing my liking for classical music.

Outstanding for Early Elementary School Kids. Highly Awarded Jan 13, 2003
By T. Carlsen This is an excellent CD for any early elementary school age child. The story is interesting, and the music snippets are outstanding. My second grade daughter especially loves this CD (and Bach) because she takes piano lessons. Mr. Bach Comes To Call received a Parents Choice Award, among others, and was recommended by the much praised "What Your Second Grader Needs to Know." This is a quality CD. The similar Beethoven CD by Classical Kids is equally superb, and I have read that the Vivaldi CD is good, too.

Love it!!! Aug 16, 2003
I love this CD, and I'm almost 15!!! I love to listen to it with my brothers (7 and 12) while we're going the dishes.

A tale of love, passion and joy for the entire family Dec 19, 2002
By Thomas J. Wilson
"cafetono"
In my family, "Mr. Bach Comes to Call" has proven to be much more than simply a delightful retelling of the life of Johann Sebastian Bach, it has defined the course of daily life for me and my children for the past year. We feast upon it, almost daily, as a connoisseur would feast upon a fine meal. At their insistence, my five year old son and eight year old daughter both began studying violin and piano a year ago; both are still passionately practicing and awaiting the day when they can "meet Elizabeth" and rival Glenn Gould on the piano. (When NPR broadcast a program on Glenn Gould's 70th birthday featuring the Goldberg Variations, they insisted that I buy it.) They've become passionate devotees of this and of the Musical Offering and the Art of the Fugue, but they still want to hear "Mr. Bach Comes to Call" on almost a nightly basis. This is a jewel of a recording that we, as a family, continue to love and to treasure above all others. Every family should have it; single adults should have it; every family and every individual should experience the passion and the joy in their lives that we've derived from this fine recording.
